June 2016

Thanks to a partnership among Bullfrog Power, Peavey Mart and the Town of Vulcan, Alberta, Canada's first solar park is boldly going where no solar project has gone before.

The Vulcan Solar Park, launched in June, is an integrated community green space and renewable energy facility that will generate 23.5 kWh of renewable electricity for the community. The design and development of the solar park involved local students—and the site will include learning modules on solar power to further educate both visitors and community.

From zoo poo to green power

We joined ZooShare for the ground breaking of its biogas facility, just across from the Toronto Zoo! When completed, the project will recycle manure from the zoo and food waste from local grocery stores into renewable energy. Bullfrog is the project’s official Education Sponsor, funding education programs for public school students. Check out these videos of the ground breaking.

Our 2015 Green Energy Audit is now available!

We just released our Green Energy Audit Report for 2015. The audit, performed annually by Deloitte, assures that renewable energy was produced and accurately counted and credited to our customers. Our annual contributions to community-based green energy projects across Canada are also included in the audit. You can view all of Bullfrog's audits here.
